Stevan was born in Banatsko Novo Selo, Yugoslavia where he attended elementary school until he graduated in 1973.
During these early years of schooling Stevan greatly admired his art teacher, the well known professor Balnozan Luvius who as a habit often shared with his young art students the contents of his amazing art studio. The variety of amazing oil paintings, carvings, charcoal drawings, sculptures and even huge carvings of marble were enough to instantly place the impressionable students in awe. Stevan credits Mr. Balnozan for giving him the inspiration, the vision, the desire to dream, create and express love of life in the form of art. Stevan is not a trained artist and dabbles in art for enjoyment.
In 1973, Stevan emigrated with family to Mississauga, Canada after years of a happy and thoroughly enjoyable small town childhood. Leaving friends and family was very painfully difficult.
Stevan attended McMaster University where he played varsity tennis and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He received his teaching degree (B. Ed.) from University of Toronto.
A full time teacher since 1987, he currently teaches a Special
Education class in Brampton, Ontario, Canada.
In 1997 Stevan was presented with an Exceptional Teacher Award by The Learning Disabilities Association of Mississauga and North Peel in recognition for outstanding work with children who have learning disabilities.
Stevan is also an author of eight resource books for teachers. He has used the years of teaching experience, an eye for design and the ability to organize information on paper to create hundreds of visually attractive, printable and downloadable, often-used forms and worksheets for teachers. If you are a teacher, exploring http://www.timesaversforteachers.com, may just show you a way to save hours, days if not months of hard work. |
